MIPS AIR is a rotational force management system designed to help reduce the energy transferred to the rider’s head in the event of an impact or crash. Lightweight and highly effective, MIPS AIR technology is integrated directly into the helmet padding and allows 10–15 mm of relative movement between the outer energy-absorbing layer and the inner helmet structure.

This sliding movement between the inner structure and the outer shell is enabled by an intermediate Polycarbonate (PC) layer featuring specially engineered supports and a dedicated low-friction treatment that allows movement in all directions.

Integrated within the internal padding, the MIPS AIR system is extremely lightweight and optimized for each helmet model and size. Its presence is imperceptible to the rider and, with only a minimal increase in overall weight, delivers a significant enhancement in safety.
