AIR REVOLUTION
AIR ATLAS
Accelerate your s-pace
JUST PURE SPEED
Ventilation is essential for the rider's performance. With Air Atlas, ventilation is guaranteed by specific air intakes that allow a large amount of air to blow fast through the internal channels, cooling the rider's head, and by Venturi effect to come out at the back, rejoining the flow that runs along the external surface of the helmet, free from obstacles: no vortex, no turbulence, just pure speed.
DESIGNED FOR COMFORT
Every single component of Air Atlas has been carefully designed for comfort: the new Air Fit Evo adjustment system, integrated with a more comfortable strap, the new divider, minimal and ergonomic, perfectly adherent to the rider face, the Fidlock magnetic buckle. The most comfortable set up is finally completed by a pad system, carefully designed to optimize ventilation and comfort.
UFO
We didn't stop here though. We created U.F.O., an 'unidentified object' with a highly effective function: to bring aerodynamics to new records. Unique, in the cycling universe, U.F.O can be locked onto the AIR ATLAS tail or removed, depending on weather conditions, type of race, providing you the top performance.
Certified recorded data from the tests carried out in the wind tunnel state that:
- At the speed of 40 km / h, Limar Air Atlas saves you 0.7 watts compared to Limar Air Speed.
- At the speed of 50 km / h, Limar Air Atlas saves you 1.4 watts compared to Limar Air Speed.
Performance, not just aerodynamics
The computer aerodynamic simulations, the numerous tests in the wind tunnel, the collaboration with the ASTANA Team, led us step-by-step to this amazing final result.
The fastest, and at the same time most ventilated, helmet has arrived.
MIPS AIR NODE
Mips Air is a rotational management system developed and designed to be the lightest system possible to help reduce rotational energies otherwise transferred to the head during an impact or crash. The Mips Air technology is integrated into the padding of the helmet and enables the 10-15mm of relative movement between the energy absorbing layer and the padding.
The relative movement of the Mips Air is enabled by having a backing of polycarbonate PC with a special low friction treatment and being held by specially designed fixations enabling movement in all directions. By being integrated into the padding the system is as light as it gets and designed to fit each specific helmet and size, barely being visible to the user and adding only limited weight to the helmet.
