Besides protection, lightness and comfort, Limar focuses on improving the aerodynamics performance of its helmets creating the AIR REVOLUTION line: 5 helmets offering maximum aerodynamics efficiency by minimizing air impact, and therefore contributing to improve the overall performances of the riders. Above all, Limar introduces AIR PRO CARBONCORETECH, leading technology with its strong carbon structure.

Limar starts its long collaboration as sponsor of PROTOUR TEAM ASTANA, one of the best Team of the last decade! LIMAR development now highly focus on the helmet aerodynamics, cooperating with the PRO Team Riders, studying the air stream and turbulence to guarantee athletes and amateurs a new real and consistent advantage.

“30th Anniversary”
Thirty years of passion and innovation Limar is back in the peloton of the major cycling events around the world through the sponsorship of French Team Direct Energie and US Team Topeak.
2014
Limar enlarges the Superlight range by focusing especially on teens and freeride world and introduces the new eyewear collection.
2013
Velov, the first helmet in the world specifically for urban cycling. Thanks to this model, Limar wins the prestigious IF Product Design Awar.
2011
“25th Anniversary”
Introduction of the new generation of Ultralight with Ultralight+ and the Superlight range, the range of the lightest helmets in the world.
2010
Limar overcomes its own world’s record in lightness by introducing ULTRALIGHT at only 160 g.
2009
Limar introduces the brand new Ultralight PRO104. Its 170 grams weight makes it definitely the world’s lightest cycling helmet.
2008
The cycling helmet reaches its maturity as a consumer good... sometimes it also becomes a fashion product, and this trend will lead Limar to think beyond mere competitive use and top team sponsorships. Returning to fashion, Limar has the great satisfaction of seeing the new (and as always innovative) 909 model, used by Brad Pitt in the film "Burn after reading" directed by the Coen Brothers.

Limar launches PRO 104, the World’s Lightest Helmet , only 180 grams, the weight of a dream.
2006
At its 20th anniversary LIMAR sells worldwide a range of 24 models of helmets and 7 sports eyewear models, satisfying all international approvals. Limar introduce its payoff THE HELMET SPECIALIST.
2002
Limar introduces Pro Wheel System, the most compact, easy adjustable wheel system available on the market.
2001
Limar in 2001 LIMAR presents F111 granting the highest levels of ventilation with its 37 air intakes. A true masterpiece of style, comfort and safety.
1999
Limar creates the first In-Mould helmet, F107, outer PC Microshell is co-moulded with EPS during the production process. This helmet also offers a new LIMAR innovative head regulator size system, developed with PRO racers.
1997
Limar signs the sponsorship contract with Deutsche Telekom Team, that will last until 2003. Champions of the caliber of Bjarne Riis, Eric Zabel, Jan Ullrich and Alexandr Vinokurov win first with the F104 and then with the innovative F107.
1996
In less than two years, the F104 becomes the most desired helmet, worn and coveted by several professional teams. Paola Pezzo wins 1996 Atlanta Olympics wearing an F104 customized just for her.
1995
Thanks to the F104, Limar wins the Design Prize Compasso d’Oro.
1994
Limar launches model F104, the first helmet developed with the most sophisticated computer design technologies. A product with the highest performance in terms of design, ventilation, aerodynamics is designed and studied, with the objective of achieving what will become LIMAR constant target: the world’s lightest bike helmet. The helmet also features an innovative retention system to offer perfect fitting to every user
1993
Limar introduces the first world’s helmet made in the same colors of a team: the Team Gatorade. Gianni Bugno starts to collaborate with Limar to develop a very high performing helmet. The new born at LIMAR has his name: G B 93.
1990
Limar introduces the thermoformed plastic shell to increase protection and safety: PRIMO has been the first helmet with an aerodynamic design for professional riders: Limar starts to sponsor MTB Athletes.
1988
After an intensive research and development period, Limar starts to design bike helmets, introducing CICLO L3: HD EPS round shape, inner comfort pads, several fluo colours and a very light weigh. Lightness has been always LIMAR main focus since the beginning.
1986
Limar starts its activity exploiting its already established 20 years know-how experience in EPS shape- moulding of its mother company MPE.
