Alien

Alien is Limar’s advanced time trial and triathlon helmet, developed to reduce aerodynamic drag in the real-world wind conditions encountered during racing. Its distinctive double-shell architecture manages airflow around the helmet, the rider’s shoulders and back through a combination of Outwash and Coandă effects.

Ideal For

The trial, Triathlon

Shaped by the wind.

Engineered for

real-world aerodynamics.

Alien was developed through CFD simulations and extensive wind-tunnel testing, followed by validation in realistic racing scenarios.
Testing included variable wind angles between 5° and 10°, reproducing the crosswinds commonly encountered during road time trials and triathlon events. This approach allowed Limar to optimize the helmet not only for ideal laboratory conditions, but also for the dynamic position and movement of the rider on the road.

Airflow shaped

around the rider.

Alien’s upper shell is divided into lateral and central aerodynamic areas. The side surfaces generate an Outwash effect that redirects incoming air away from the rider’s shoulders.
The central profile uses the Coandă effect to maintain a more controlled airflow along the rider’s back. Working together with the lower shell, these surfaces help reduce turbulence between the helmet, neck and shoulders, improving the aerodynamic efficiency of the complete rider–helmet system.

Efficiency when

every second matters.

The aerodynamic double-shell architecture guides airflow around the rider while three front vents and six internal longitudinal channels support ventilation during sustained high-intensity efforts.
Compared with its predecessor, Air King Evo, testing indicates a significant reduction in aerodynamic resistance, helping the rider maintain race speed with less energy expenditure. Alien is designed for athletes who need performance that remains effective across changing wind conditions, body positions and race environments.
Non inserirei direttamente nel testo commerciale il vantaggio di circa 10 watt finché non sono confermati velocità, posizione, angolo del vento e protocollo di confronto.

Integrated Aerodynamic Visor

The wide integrated visor supports a clean frontal profile while providing the visibility required for time trial and triathlon racing.

Outwash & Coandă Effects

Lateral surfaces redirect airflow away from the shoulders, while the central profile helps maintain a controlled flow along the rider’s back.

Aerodynamic Double Shell

A distinctive upper and lower shell architecture engineered to manage airflow around the helmet, shoulders and back as one aerodynamic system.
